About the Author

Carolyn Coffey has been a retoucher and restoration artist since 1988. The first 13 years Carolyn used dyes and oils, paintbrushes and airbrushes, and graphite pencils on an Adams Retouch machine to turn back the hands of time of thousands of negatives and photographs. Carolyn made the transition to the digital world in 2001 and never looked back. She is now a professor at Austin Community College teaching Retouching and Restoration in the Photography department. Her philosophy is the more you share the more you receive.
