About the Author

Alan Herdman was trained in Pilates in New York and introduced the system to the UK in 1969. He has established studios in several countries, including his own, based in central London. He teaches professional dancers, singers, and actors, as well as anyone wishing to improve their general health. His two previous books are Pilates: Creating the Body You Want and Pilates for Busy People.
