About the Author

A former resident of Massachusetts, Lorraine Rogers was inspired by her time there when creating the narrative for the compelling Pocketbook Diaries series. These days she lives in Maryland where she spends her days as a sales representative bringing in over a million dollars a year in business for a company she’s worked at for almost a decade. When asked how she finds time to write, Rogers said, “I spend most nights checking homework, cooking dinner, watching movies, dancing to music with the kids, refereeing fights, and squeezing in attention for my husband—all before jumping on the computer and letting my imagination and passion for writing run wild.”
So far her passion for writing has birthed A Lesson in Listening, a children’s book that was published in 2012. She has since went on to add two more publications to the popular TJ’s Lessons series: Justin the Incredible and If I’ve Told You Once I’ve Told You Twice It Pays to be Good It Pays to be Nice. Rogers says she feels fortunate to have been able to present the series she created in the likeness of her son TJ to thousands of children in multiple schools across the East Coast. The series quickly became popular, even being awarded along the way by the mayor of Baltimore, Maryland, for its contribution to the community. It also garnered Rogers a nomination for an “Inspire” award by Slantress Magazine, where she went on to be named one of the “100 Influential Woman of the Year” in their year-ending 2013 publication. These days Rogers is lost in the world of Aphrodan alongside Zyaire and her magical pocketbook. She says she is looking forward to having readers join her in this new adventure.
