About the Author

Who is qualified to write a factually accurate comedic treatment on prostate cancer? How about the guy who supported himself as a singing telegram man while working on his Ph.D.? Or the guy who wrote songs like The Left Breast is Best and sang them for his supper at hippy-dippy vegetarian restaurants in the 1970's? Or a scientist who regularly makes presentations at professional conferences as an excuse to do a little stand-up comedy? How about the guy who presents his farcical tale to prostate cancer support groups to laugh about their common challenges? That guy is me, Dan Laszlo, and in 2008 my prostate and I were separated due to irreconcilable differences-I wanted to live and it wanted to metastasize.

Communicating a topic as serious as prostate cancer in a comedic shell required the deployment of skills I developed in all my careers-a singing telegram man's comedic delivery, an elementary school teacher's gentle and effective communication, and a scientist's technical accuracy.

Want to know more about the author? Trust me, if you read this book you will learn more about Dan Laszlo than anyone should know about a man besides his maker, his doctor, or his soul mate.
