Red: A Collection of Letters From WW2 Soldier PFC Bud Threlkeld
The story of late Private First Class Harry (Bud) M. Threlkled, Jr. who fought in WW2 and survived the Battle of the Bulge. He was a resident of Carrsville; a small river town in Western Kentucky. Bud left with his family a series of WW2 memorabilia, pictures, v-mails (veteran mail), letters and etc. written out to his parents, friends back home and his brother Charles who was also a WW2 soldier. The letters detail the beginning to the very end of his service. Some years later they were left in the possession of one of his relatives and Carrsville resident Norberta Karr Williams, who wants people to know of his experience and for his story to be told. Written and arranged by Alexa Black, his story will be brought to life through the letters he left behind.

Alexa Black is a 23 year old author well known for her writing, illustrations, poetry and music, locally. She has won a variety of competitions including the Spartacus Gear of Legends for her artwork, which was held in multiple countries. The story of WW2 soldier Harry (Bud) Threlkeld was previously featured as a weekly article in The Crittenden Press. Alexa has worked for local newspapers and multiple online sites as a freelance writer, while studying film in school. She is looking to publish her fiction novels while also self publishing her e-books as a side project.
