About the Author

As an environmental scientist, Gary A. Burlingame has researched and lectured internationally on the application of the human senses to make observations of manmade and natural environments. In this book, Gary refers to the scientific knowledge of the human senses while reflecting spiritually on what was revealed in the Bible. God told us not to worship false gods or idols who cannot smell, speak, see, hear or feel. God reminded us that he it was who gave man his ability to speak, hear, see and touch. God instructed the burning of incense and the anointing of fragrances for his people. Then Jesus came and died and rose from the dead, instructing his apostles to see his hands, touch his side, hear his words and speak the good news. We are to carry the fragrance of Christ – a fragrance of life or death to the world around us.
