ROCKET
The John Marshall Class of 1975 from Rochester,
Minnesota had a special group of football playing boys
that set their goals early after winning the State Crown. As
reigning champs, their challenge was to defend their title
and return to the Minnesota Playoffs to win the State
Championship again.
ROCKET is about the true life adventures
of friends and fellow players that embraced a roller
coaster ride of emotions, achievements and mischief in
the late spring, summer and fall of 1974. All ages will
enjoy the many humor filled stories of personal adversity
and adventure contained in this memoir.
Years after the original manuscripts were scribbled and
typed, author Bruce Werre now tells the ROCKET story.
Enjoy.

About the Author

The process of producing ROCKET has been thirty five years of storage, moving and dust collection. I have always believed that a period of time would come where the photos, scrap books and manuscripts collected in my youth would be placed in some sort of logical order and a story would emerge.

The first part of those years was spent raising my two boys in Rochester, Minnesota. They both have pursued their childhood dreams and youth skills and now are very successful young men in their career fields.

In the latter years, my paths have taken me to places I never imagined I would go; both personally as well as world travel. A career in Construction Design and Construction Management did not lend any time for writing a book. My eyes and mind were either buried in the plans, spec books or job sites.

Similar to my discovery in paperback books as a youth, it is my intention that ROCKET will launch many younger readers into expanding their reading skills and imaginations. It is written in a format that all ages, pre-teen and up will enjoy. And within the chapters are enough stories to keep everyone reading ROCKET from cover to cover.

Author Bruce Werre resides in Stillwater, Minnesota.
