Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Emily Griffin

How often do you eat pizza every month? According to The Saucy Scoop on Pizza, 93% of people in the U.S. eat pizza at least once a month. That is billions of pizza's made each year! This title, all about pizza, is part of the series "Favorite Food Facts" from Capstone Press. Like others in this series there are a few of sentences on the left-side with an accompanying photograph on the right. Topics covered include the history of this delicious food, how it is made, and amuaing facts about pizzas all over the world. For curious pizza lovers, there is a fun photo of one of the world's longest pizza: made by chefs in Poland it was over 3,000 feet long. There is also a recipe for a pizza bagel, a table of contents, glossary, further sources, and index. A good selection for beginning readers or reluctant readers looking for material that is still age appropriate. Reviewer: Emily Griffin
