Instructions for making nine paper objects are included in this collection of origami. Origami is a great activity because it is fun and does not require many materials. The essential supply is just paper. Scissors, ruler, pencils, and craft supplies for decorating the objects are nice to have as well. The first page details the symbols that describe the kinds of folds used to make the objects in this book. Terms and techniques are explained with multiple images. The folds are shown in pictures; included are valley folds, mountain folds, squash folds, inside reverse folds, outside reverse folds, rabbit ear folds, petal folds, pleat folds, and mark folds. The first origami project in the book is a hen. Eight of the nine projects are traditional with one original project by the author. The objects to be folded in addition to a hen are bluebells, sampan, paper lantern, crane, sanbo, money suit, angelfish, and Chinese vase. The projects vary in complexity.
