About the Author

About The Author
Arthur J. Rees (1872-1942)
Melbourne-born Rees was a former newspaper journalist who moved to England and is best known as a writer of mystery stories. His books have been translated into French and German. He was on the staff of the Melbourne Age newspaper and later joined the New Zealand Herald news. Two of his stories were included in an American world-anthology of detective stories. His proficiency as a writer of crime-mystery stories is attested by Dorothy Sayers in the introduction to Great Short Stories of Detection, Mystery and Horror, 1928.
