Small Voices on our Doorstep

We didn’t know we’d be foster parents. We already had four children, and we lived, as far as you can with four kids, a quiet life not far from Prescott, Ontario. But through a series of simple circumstances, three odd children from one strange family became part of our lives, and we were never the same again. Little by little, we learned about a world of monsters, horrific abuse, and the murder of a baby called Joshua. What followed was an investigation into the largest case of child sexual abuse in Canada at the time. Through it all, we had seven children to raise in as normal a fashion as possible. There was nothing normal about it. This is the story of our journey.
