About the Author

Michael Hodge has an interesting background. He grew up practicing martial arts and excelling in writing as a child. At age 14 he began to teach martial arts; and did so for 8 years - becoming recognized as one of the nation's top children's martial arts instructors. All while creating educational programs and DVDs which have sold over 20,000 copies worldwide. A while back, when his daughter was 2, he and his wife were having trouble getting her to speak in Spanish and English. This set Michael on a path of discovery, research, and testing - which has led to his BookLingual books.

He is married to his wife, Raquel, who is a native Spanish speaker. Together they have created a program which intuitively teaches children language through reading fun books. By combining his creativity, understanding for how to teach children, and his own experience with becoming bilingual - Michael has created a set of books to do the same for not just his daughter, but all children.

I wanted to teach my child another language. One I was also learning. But finding books out there that are bilingual, easy to understand and have word for word translation is near to none impossible. Until now. I can't believe how great these books are. Anyone can learn reading these books. They are great! Oh and even if you're an adult wanting to learn spanish, don't be afraid to get these also. I love them.
