In this import by Belgian author Roegiers kids are guided toward self-awareness and mindfulness which can help when it seems like everything has gone wrong on a given day. The suggestions range from spending time with friends, to undertaking familiar tasks and doing things that make one feel good. Other recommendations include thinking about what one is doing and to take time before telling a secret or blurting something out. It is OK to be sad and ponder dreams and to enjoy silence. The illustrations appear to be pencil and watercolor on graph paper and they are more like sketches. Most illustrations are uncomplicated, but they convey the message or emotion that the young girl is feeling, especially when she is depicted being hugged and has her eyes closed to savor the moment. For those who may need a book about calming down and becoming a bit more reflective this may work. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
