Overview

This is a novella. Callie Norton and her parents move into a new house in San Diego. Callie's a military brat that unfortunately is always the new kid in school every year. She's dying to make new friends so she'll know someone when she starts high school. Since they live near the beach, she goes out to explore and meets Jimmy Colton, a kid her own age who really catches her eye. But because Jimmy's alone with her on the beach she doesn't think she should tell her mother about him just yet. So Jimmy and Callie enjoy swimming, fishing, and exploring the beach together. Still, when one is attracted to another they tend to test the waters. Callie is almost sixteen, but her parents see her as a child still. With time on their hands Jimmy and Callie begin to explore each other and their relationship blossoms to her being his girl. But Callie is deep into just how far can she go with a boy before she says no? She likes Jimmy a lot, but she's well aware of the consequences too. Can she put the brakes on?

Last time we talked I told you I was working on boxsets, I got box sets done now for Brides of the West and Red River Valley Brides.. By putting all in one set it goes over a quarter of a million words. And too many pages to deal with. So I'm not trying to get more out of the boxsets, but want you to be able to open it on your computers and tablets without trouble. Family Matters and Family Ranch are much shorter novels than the Brides. So that's why I could fit it one boxset. But I purposely wrote longer ones because I read where readers like the longer books. So I'm complying with what the readers in general want. As you all know, that know me, you realize I change covers a lot. There are many reasons for that, one is that covers become rather outdated and look old. Two, I'm saving myself some by not using the stock images too long. Three, I like to collect covers, and boy do I ever have a bunch. Sheri McGathey is the cover artist for my Brides of the West and a lot of other books. She does really good western covers and not all artist have or will. I have three or four sites that I prefer for covers, and I have done some of my own. But looking at them they just aren't as good as the professionals do them. So I replace them. If there is one you particularly don't want me to change, feel free to e-mail me and let me know. I update and edit my books all the time. I have paid big dollars for edits but have found that they so often disagree on how to edit that it confuses me. However, I do want to let you know that for me editing is an on going process. This year I am putting out a Christmas book Let It Snow. I hope you'll all enjoy it. It's on pre-order now, will be available in November. I wrote a children's Christmas story too, will try to get that out soon. I am writing some teenage romance now, most are short stories a few will be a little longer, in novellas. I've been wanting to get this done for a while. I have fourteen books in the Brides of the West Collection, all stories stand alone so if you are only interested in certain ones, you won't miss something from another book. I'm enlarging my Dream Catcher series, and working on the Connor Series too. Guarding Red Riding Hood is on pre-order too. My books are growing over at Audible.com. I'll be adding more as time allows. And I hand pick the narrators. You'll find some really good work there and I hope you'll check them out.
