About the Author

Born in Bristol, England, I have always been an avid reader. Currently living in New Zealand, I've worked in Europe and travelled fairly extensively. I have written various sailing articles and had them published in magazines. Having lived and worked in the Middle East for a number of years, I believe I have a good understanding of the region. I used that experience to write my first full novel 'The Jaws of Revenge'.

That was soon followed by my second novel, 'Terror of the Innocent' and a third, a short story 'High Seas Hijack'.

All feature US Navy SEAL John Deacon and some of his colleagues in the Pentagon. The first two also feature his adversary, Saif the Palestinian - an ex-Navy traitor whose mission in life is to destroy the West and, in particular, the USA.

Wow, this is beyond a 'page turner'. I would have read it in a single sitting but for work getting in the way..

The story is fast-paced and entirely believable (which is both good and disturbing), the characters likable and not cardboard in any fashion (unlike Tom Clancy novels)

Great as good as the first book.

Having read Mike's first book featuring John Deacon, I waited with huge expectation for the follow up, and here it is. And it is another absolute page turner. Gripping, realistic, in fact scarily so.

The writing in these books is absolutely top notch and keeps you completely involved from the moment you start. I've said it before, I'll say it again...I can't wait for the next one!!

Yet again, the mix of fact and fiction blurs the lines of reality to provide a gripping read right to the end. The use of locations and events provides a plot line that many people will identify with and makes the book thrilling and hard to put down.
