The Art of Happiness, Peace & Purpose: Manifesting Magic Part 6

The law of attraction is not a new concept; it predates all religions just as all our other laws did. Recently the concept of `manifesting¿, `cosmic ordering¿ and `attraction¿ have entered the mainstream vocabulary but they are just trendy labels for something that man has been doing since the dawn of creation, wishing and praying. Manifesting is just the same as praying with certainty.

Perhaps we wouldn¿t even need books like this one if religion hadn¿t painted the image of God as the bearded angry guy who sits on a throne passing judgment on us sinful mortals. As a whole, we seem to have got terribly mixed up about praying. More often than not we drop to our knees and ask God for help only in our darkest moments. We see prayer as a cry for help, like a child who has fallen off the swing screams for his mother. What upsets us with prayer is when we fall off the swing and `mom¿ doesn¿t come running. Our cries for help appear to go unnoticed, and this causes us a great sensation of being alone and unloved.

In this penultimate book in the Manifesting Magic series Craig Beck reveals the truth about why your prayers go unanswered and how you use the power of divinity within you to ask, believe and receive the life of your dreams.

Reviewer: Celso Agner, MD, MS, MSc (Michigan Neurology Partners)
Description: Radiosurgery has been part of neurosurgery for over 40 years and, since its development, the number of conditions it is used to treat has grown. This book reflects the most recent advances.
Purpose: The purpose is to present the most recent developments in the technology and clinical application of intracranial radiosurgery.
Audience: Neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuro-oncologists, and interventional neuroradiologists are the main audience for this book. The authors are leading authorities in the field, some of whom were integral to its very early development.
Features: With its excellent illustrations, updated literature including some of the most prominent trials, and a group of leading experts as authors, this book is an excellent reference for the field. More than a replacement therapy, radiosurgery also has a big role as an adjunct therapy for conditions such as brain tumors, arteriovenous malformations, and dural arteriovenous fistulas. The book would have benefited from a broader comparison with other treatment modalities, including open neurosurgical procedures and endovascular surgery, since those methods, when done appropriately, can result in a high cure rate. Over 50 authors contribute to the 20 chapters in this book.
Assessment: This is an excellent book for any neurosurgical, radiological, or neurological library. Compared to Radiosurgery and Pathological Fundamentals, Szeifert et al. (S. Karger AG, 2007), this one is a bit more clinical, with new updates on technology and clinical applications.
