About the Author

Tim Glynne-Jones is a writer living in Reigate, Surrey. He was born in Malaya in 1965 where his dad was working as a teacher, but returned a year later to a country celebrating winning the World Cup.
He grew up in Croydon and started school on a rainy day in 1969, wearing a blue trawlerman's outfit over his shorts and cap, something he still remembers vividly, along with the milk.

David Mostyn was born in Yorkshire August 1944. He went to Art College for three years, and then spent the next 7-9 years in advertising as commercial artist. He moved over to publishing and spent the next 3-4 years as art director. In 1977 he left full time employment to start Mostyn Partners, which has been going flat out ever since- he also own licensing company, Oxford Fine Art. David has worked extensively in schools, promoted in bookshops, been on children's TV, game shows (drawing), Edinburgh Book Festival, and taught Graphics at Brookes University in Oxford. He worked for 30 years on comic strips, D C Thomson (Beano & Dandy), Marvel comics NY, DC comics NY, and has contributed in the merchandising of the Smurfs, Ghostbusters, Desparate Dan, Dennis the Menace and Rupert Bear. His most recent work has been within painting. Married 33 years, David has two kids, two grandchildren, one cat and lives in Oxford.
