About the Author

Mario A. Taboada aka 5Fires is a profoundly motivated, resourceful, and enthusiastic visionary. He believes strongly in the Salvation of God, the Messiah. His destiny and design are inspired and manifested by Courage, Council, Wisdom, Strength, and Understanding. Such virtues are those which he calls the five fires that propel his heart and his soul, toward happiness and success.

He is an awarding winning published Author with an intrinsic, independent nature and entrepreneurial spirit. His inherent qualities have enabled him to fulfill his ambitions in Professional Writing, Theatrical Stage Management, and Real Estate, and as a Sole Proprietor in Hospitality, Leisure Travel, and Food Service. Currently, in addition to writing professionally, he is a Process Server. He is also the Sole Proprietor of his Legal Support Service business in southern Oregon.

At the height of his aspirations to see the world, he had consummated contracts as an Independent Contractor with eight major cruise lines. During that tenure, he contracted to work on-board as a Stage Manager and Discotheque Disc-Jockey. In a period of ten years, he enjoyed an extraordinary opportunity of receiving high compensation for creating and maintaining an atmosphere of perpetual celebration while traveling two-thirds of the planet, on the high seas, aboard thirteen different, excellent cruise ships. In the interim of his ocean voyage adventures, he had also enjoyed “run-of-the ship” privileges, and the benefit of repeat visits to many of the most exotic, beautiful, and magnificent ports of call, around the world. He has also had the joy of exciting experiences in other venues, managing the stage for and in the presence of renowned performers such as Ray Charles, Frankie Avalon, Pat Paulson and many other professional performers.

Mario was born in San Antonio, Texas, and soon after, he and his parents moved to the Great State of Missouri, and lived there until, he and his parents returned to the Great State of Texas, when he became seven years of age. He continued to live in Texas, throughout high school.

He took his first step upon his road to fame and fortune at the age of thirteen, undertaking three different paper routes, delivering the San Antonio Light. He began his adult professional exploits at the age of seventeen in the field of Direct Sales, traveling the continental United States six times over.
His current aspiration is to attain the position of a Court Appointed Advocate for At-Risk Children. Mario is also the father of an extraordinary daughter and he is a grandfather to three outstanding, award winning and accomplished grandchildren. He is most fond of live theater performances, the beach, and spending time in the wilderness. He now lives in southern Oregon with his best friend, Fezek, a fourteen year old, Rottweiler/ Anatolian Sheppard mixed breed, who helps with writing and editing Mario’s books and articles.
