About the Author

Nancy J. Myers is drawn to spiritual experience but always keeps at least one foot in the material world. She lives with her husband, Victor, in a house in the woods in southwest Michigan, USA, where she retired in 2012 after a career as an international teacher and writer/editor for the nuclear disarmament and environmental movements. Most recently she was communications director of the Science and Environmental Health Network, where she helped developed policy around the precautionary principle and guardianship of future generations, as described in her book, The Dream Matrix.Her blog, the practical mystic, covers the gamut of her daily experience as a writer and editor for great causes; grandmother; world traveler; Midwestern Mennonite; and lover of books, other cultures and languages, nature, and God.
