The Eyes Have It & Tony and the Beatles
Aliens have invaded the earth! Horrible one celled creatures disguised as normal human beings ! Well, at least that is what it seems to the author. Yes, The Eyes Have It is a whimsical story, making gentle fun of certain writing styles, but only a topflight science-fictionist like Philip Dick , we thought, could have written this story, in just this way. Tony and the Beetles takes place far in the future when Earth's enormous colonial empire is well established but the question is, how long can it last? 10 year old Tony grows up fast when history catches up with the human race. A sobering look at human history .. and our probable future. Two very different stories but both entertaining. (Summary by the magazine editor and Phil Chenevert)

Publishers Weekly

09/29/2014
In this delightful kickoff to the Sugar, Georgia contemporary series, Adair invokes smalltown charm and all its perils. Josephina Harrington flees a failed engagement, her parents’ judgment, and the stresses of New York life. She takes refuge in Sugar, planning to rebuild both historic Fairchild House and her dreams of a successful life. Brett McGraw is lying low after a scandal, but his status as the town’s most eligible bachelor makes it hard for him to improve the poor reputation that caused all his troubles. Brett’s grandmother and her friends control the town and oppose the changes Josephina proposes at Fairchild House. This leaves Brett caught between family loyalties and the possibility of reunion with Josephina, his childhood sweetheart. Town-wide feuds and unrelenting expectations combine to create escalating drama. The sensual and satisfying conclusion feels solidly earned and leaves the door wide open for a strong continuing series. (Nov.)

Publishers Weekly on Sugar's Twice as Sweet

"A can't miss read with small town sweetness, endearing characters and a unique quirky flair."
—Carly Phillips, New York Times bestselling author on Sugar's Twice as Sweet

"First in a new series, readers will find all the sweetness of small-town magic in Sugar, Georgia. As with all the best small towns, there are some quirky characters adding to the charm and romance, but it's the heart and heat that make this story a page-turner. Keep an eye on this series."
