About the Author

I have three wonderful children, two girls and one boy who got stuck in the middle between the girls. I am in college full time and work full time. Starting in September I will be in my clinical for nursing so writing will be little and far in between. Though I will pick up a voice recorder and use Dragon to change my voice into print so next summer I will have a lot of editing to do. I also have a significant other who is supportive of my writing. He says I neglect to mention him. I have an awesome man who does the dishes, washed the laundry and knows when to leave me alone. Chris is not perfect but we have a fun unique relationship that I think comes through in my writing style.I have been writing as long as I can remember. As a babysitter I use to read my short stories to the kids and they loved them. In fact I had to make copies for several of my parents because their kids wanted to be read my stories at bedtime. When I graduated I attempted to find someone to publish my short stories but as a novice at selling myself I gave up.During that time I still continued to write and started my family. It wasn’t until my mom in Jan 2007 that I began to pursue a career in writing again. She had Alzheimer’s and in a clear moment she asked if I had ever published a book. I told her no and she said that was the one thing she wanted to see before she died. I couldn’t turn my mom down so I quickly took one of my short stories and started anew.I completed my book in June of 2007 and started looking for a publisher. I was turned down but several told me they liked my writing style but they didn’t have readers for my book. PublishAmerica decided to publish it. If my mom didn’t want to see my book I probably would have kept looking. I still haven’t seen a penny from this company even though I have signed a few copies of my book. They say I haven’t sold a single one. I may not have made a single penny off this book but my mom got her dream and held my book in her hand November 2007.
