Overview

It all began when a doctor's bag containing deadly bacteria cultures were stolen from his car only to be returned a few days later. What followed was a string of mysterious deaths from tetanus and influenza. Who stole the bag, who did the murders, and how they were committed Inspector Humphrey Bull, Inspector of Scotland Yard, C.I.D. Enter a gray little Welshman and Inspector Bull's landlord, Mr. Evan Pinkerton. In the past, Mr. Pinkerton has fumbled and stumbled along in his nervous manner and managed to assist the inspector to nab the culprit. About the Author

David Frome is the pseudonym of Mrs. Zenith Brown (1889-1983), an American author. Her story lines tended to be located in England, which is probably a result of being a war correspondent for the U.S.A.F. in both the Pacific and England theaters during WWII, and being the wife of Ford K. Brown who was an English professor at St. John's College in England. As an author, she actively wrote over sixty detective novels between 1928 through 1962. She graduated from the University of Washington and lived for a time in Annapolis, MD where she passed away.
