THE "I HATE TO WRITE" GUIDE TO COLLEGE LEVEL ESSAYS: RESEARCH PAPER
Has the need to write papers for your college classes been the bane of your existence? Okay, maybe not that bad, but bad enough, right? One of the most common complaints students make is "why do I have to write papers? I'm never going to have to write one in my profession." BUZZ! Wrong idea because there will be things you need to write in the future. The papers won't be called research papers or book critiques or comparison/contrast essays or any of the other terms that get thrown at you in college, they'll be termed "reports", "analysis of the competition (or product)", "proposal for department (or business or sales) growth", and other equally insomnia curing titles instead. And you'll have to write them. And they'll have to be fact filled, logical in presentation, and have whatever else upper management wants to see in them.

All the papers you slough your way through in college are paving the way for the business version of the same thing.

There will be a lot more variety in the topics you take on in writing research papers for non-business classes, but that's good. Maybe you can write about something you're interested in, or focus on one element of the course's topic and dive into a bit more detail on it.

What THE "I HATE TO WRITE" GUIDE TO WRITING COLLEGE LEVEL ESSAYS: RESEARCH PAPERS edition does is jump you into choosing a topic, has you consider what the instructor has indicated as things they want to see in the paper or things they want it to do, then move on to finding the information to work with before doing a bungee jump into writing the paper itself.

There are sections on choosing a topic, getting organized, searching for sources, and dealing with citations. There's even a Sample Research Paper for a bit of "show and tell."

If you've ever sweated out having to write a research paper or didn't understand exactly what it was supposed to do...particularly those dreaded thesis statements...this could well be the guide to help you through the underbrush in your academic career.

About the Author

Beth Daniels holds a bachelor’s in History and a master’s in English Composition and Rhetoric. She taught Freshman level Composition for over a dozen years at three different colleges before recreating her teaching style through online workshops where she focused on writing genre fiction. Because so many of her college students told her that they had never understood what they were supposed to be doing in writing various types of essays – until landing in her classroom, that is – Daniels decided to share her approach in print.

Visit her at www.Muse2Ms.com or for fiction find her at www.RomanceAndMystery2.com or www.WritingSteampunk.com.
