About the Author

Tracey Hecht is a writer and entrepreneur who has written, directed and produced for film. She splits her time between Oquossoc, Maine and New York City.

Rumur Dowling is a writer for Fabled Films Press. He graduated from Harvard College and studied eighteenth-century poetry in Oxford as a Henry Fellow. He now lives in his hometown of New York City.

Waymond Singleton is an illustrator and animator with an adoration for stories depicting quirky characters and daring adventures. He received his BFA in Animation from Savannah College of Art and Design. He lives in Burbank, where he spends his free time making short films.

One night, Tobin, a hungry pangolin, sniffs the air and finds a tasty pomelo on the ground. When he reaches for it, he is accused of being a thief by Bismark, who is lurking nearby. Tobin is alarmed by the sugar-glider, who looks like a flying squirrel. As a result, Tobin lets out a stinky odor. Bismark flies down from a tree to meet Tobin. Bismark comes down to claim his pomelo. They are arguing about whether Tobin was trying to steal the pomelo, when suddenly, they hear a voice from the bush. A fox appears. She is kind but wants to know what the problem is between the other two animals. Bismark begins to explain how he believes Tobin is a thief, but Tobin does not agree. However, Bismark is insistent and loudly states that he saw the pomelo first. Quiet, shy Tobin does not know what to do. The fox listens carefully then makes a move by raising her sharp claw. Tobin steps back in alarm. What is she going to do? Readers will enjoy how the book ends. This educational book reveals the world of nocturnal animals. There are some fun facts in the back of the book about the animals. This delightful title is part of “The Nocturnals” adventures. Children will enjoy learning about nocturnal animals and reading about Tobin and Bismark. Teachers could use this marvelous book in their classroom library.
