The One-Day New Body Makeover

Much of what's written about cosmetic surgery in newspapers and magazines, and even in some medical journals, is half-truth, myth, or advertising.

The media has distorted public perception with overly negative or sensationalized stories, and medical specialty organizations contribute to the mayhem by promoting warring viewpoints to establish their own market share.

The misinformation is further compounded by the rapid pace of technological change. As soon as we begin to understand one procedure, new ones pop up, and the confusion begins anew. Many of today's finest techniques didn't even exist five years ago.

And five years from now, these may be ancient history.

About the Author

As a physician, Dr. Yoho brings an eclectic mix of physical, psychological, and spiritual disciplines to his "holistic" view of cosmetic surgery in Los Angeles. In addition to his busy practice in Pasadena, California, he is also a master rock climber, yoga enthusiast and outdoor adventurer. In 2005, he won his age group in a triathlon, and in 2006 climbed the "Nose" route on El Capitan in Yosemite in less than 24 hours, which has been done to date by only one other person over 50 years of age. Dr. Yoho has a unique perspective on the art of cosmetic surgery, having had BOTOX® Cosmetic, liposuction, cheek implants, non-invasive photo-facial treatments, a deep TCA peel, and injection with Radiesse® into his facial lines. He believes that emotional well-being, diet and physical fitness are an intrinsic part of the cosmetic surgery process.
