That idea vanishes the moment Taurin, Violet, Echo, and Shrift encounter a group of powerful Organics who reveal that Earth is a planet on the brink of war. The travelers must use their powers, and ingenuity, in an attempt to unite three separate Factions that each want control of this new world: The Naturals, The Moderns, and a wild group of outcasts known as The Fallen.
