The Orion Chronicles: The Journal of Forgotten Secrets
Fate guides him. Magic controls him. Evil awaits him.

When fourteen year old Orion Martins ventures deep into the forest behind his New Hampshire home, he’s quickly lured into a sadistic game of life and death where the prize is the fate of two worlds. After uncovering a hidden land ruled by enchantment and magic, wicked schemes and dark family secrets begin to expose a perilous trail of deception he’s been destined to travel. Can the mysteries trapped inside an ancient journal unlock the enigmas of his past, assuring his victory over an ancient mastermind long believed to have vanished? The board is set and the pieces are ready to be played.

Three weeks ago, Orion knew he would avenge his father’s murder. Three days ago, he knew there was nothing beyond our own unforgiving world. Three hours ago, he knew magic only existed within the depths of his imagination. Three minutes from now, he’ll discover just how wrong he’s been.

The first move has been made. Can Orion save our lives at the risk of his own?

As an avid reader of fantasy stories, I absolutely loved The Orion Chronicles. It’s nothing like any other series I’ve read, and as a huge Harry Potter fan, I have to say this novel grabbed me more. Not only do you have a new original world to experience, but you also have ghosts, vampires, and werewolves amongst many other magical races. The author grabbed every one of my senses through his writing. The way he describes an item or a location made me feel like I was actually there, experiencing it with his characters. The lead characters are loveable, fun, and very relatable to any everyday teenager on the street. Chapter by chapter I seemed to be drawn in more. This book left me begging for the next installment. – Kristy L. Mills

Being an adult male, I’m not really that keen on Fantasy books (I tend to favor thriller and dramatic novels), but The Orion Chronicles: The Journal of Forgotten Secrets is one of the best stories I’ve EVER read. I honestly couldn’t put it down and ended up reading it in only three days…that’s how gripping it was. The author’s imagination is so uniquely and vividly presented in a cast of characters that are so believable, I felt like I knew them personally. The way the clever details are effortlessly worked into the intricate scenery and action is nothing short of flawless. At times I had to look around my apartment just to remind myself I wasn’t actually there, in the thick of the action, especially during the end where I fear I may have ruined my seat cushion from sitting on the edge. This isn’t a book just for kids. No, this is a book for everyone who enjoys an imaginative story that sucks you in from the start. – Kyre Coleman

I have to warn you, make sure you really set aside some time to read because once you start The Orion Chronicles: The Journal of Forgotten Secrets, you won't be able to put it down. I’m a very passionate reader and I dabble in just about every genre, but this story was by far one of the best I’ve read in quite some time. I’m personally a fan of twists in the plotline and this one had more than enough to keep me guessing. This book is one of my faves right now and is a must add to every true reader’s collection. – Cory Blair

The Orion Chronicles is an amazing work of talent. It’s literally non-stop adventure. It was easy to see from the beginning that the author is a natural storyteller with a wonderful ability to effortlessly weave details into the story. I really loved the way a new world was created completely from his imagination, yet brilliantly intertwined with our own through clever ways. It’s like the new world could really exist, mimicking our world with common social dilemmas from history and today (racial segregation, teenage angst, personal discovery, and family struggles). You couldn’t ask for a better beginning to a series, and it quite possibly may be the most important contributions to fantasy literature since Harry Potter. – Angela (Angel) Cole
