The Other Side
When Wraith challenged the wizards of the city of lightning he knew he was lighting a powder keg. Now the battle has come to a single unit of soldiers. Untrained and alone they'll have to survived going head to head with Wraith's doppelgängers. Each one more dangerous than the last. They will know the taste of pain and fear and loss. They will know betrayal. And if they survive the fight they will be changed forever.

"Not if we're ready for them." Kari spoke before Reif had a chance to cut in. Ever since they'd started fucking those two had gotten strangely competitive. The wind was loud enough now that she was yelling just to be heard over it. "And this time we will be. You come up with a shield for that fear spell and I'll think of a way to get us close."
"Close?! Are you-" Reif finally started to get his say.
"Hey, Kari," Alton hadn't been listening to them. Like usual he did his own thing. He'd been watching the sky while the rest of them argued. "If you really want I shot at one of those things you're going to get your chance."
Their eyes followed where he pointed.
A tornado was coming up from the south. Broken light trees and anything else it could pick up spun around it in glowing streaks. At the apex of the funnel stood a man dressed in just as much black at them. Except his was trimmed in scarlet and gold.
