The last candidate has just left the room and the door is shut. The clock is ticking, there's a train to catch, and the panel must decide who to appoint. But what is really motivating them, and whose agenda will prevail?

This play was first staged at the Traverse Theatre, in 2010 as part of the Women, Power & Politi season.

About the Author

Zinnie Harris is a playwright and theatre director. Her plays include The Wheel (National Theatre of Scotland); Fall (Traverse Theatre/Royal Shakespeare Company); Julie (National Theatre of Scotland); Midwinter and Solstice (both Royal Shakespeare Company); Nightingale and Chase (Royal Court); Further than the Furthest Thing (Royal National Theatre/Tron Theatre, winner of the Peggy Ramsay Playwriting Award and the John Whiting Award); By Many Wounds (Hampstead Theatre). She wrote a new version of A Doll’s House for the Donmar Warehouse in 2009. She has also written two ninety-minute dramas for Channel 4 – Born with Two Mothers and Richard is My Boyfriend, and episodes for the BBC One Drama Series Spooks. She was Writer in Residence at the Royal Shakespeare Company from 2000 –2001, and is an Associate Artist at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh.
