The Stockholm Supposition is first book in the "Guardian Angel Trilogy" and is a prequel to "The Zero Chip," the second book in the series, previously released. The new book takes place in the very near future, shortly after a newly elected U.S. president takes office. He is immediately faced with two crises. A devious NSA Assistant Director and a hawkish Secretary of Defense want him to allow them to field a new and extremely powerful orbital weapons system, the Guardian Angel Defense Satellite System (GADSS), currently "under development," which they claim will solve his budget problems as well as assuring the country's military supremacy for years to come. Of course they assure him that he will have oversight of all phases of the program which will take several years to complete. During a meeting with Calvin Simons, his briefer from the Office of Science and Technology Policy, to discuss the programs that the President has learned are the predecessor programs for GADSS, the President is told by Cal that certain reliable scientific sources have expressed concern that a major geophysical event is likely and that human interference with the Earth's geophysics, and that one of the projects they just discussed is likely the trigger! Cal advises the President that there is a symposium to be held the next week in Stockholm, by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, at which Dr. Ernst Gustafsson, Scandinavian Life Sciences Institute will discuss 'The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, HAARP, and Its Destructive Effects on Ionospheric and Atmospheric Ozone Stability and Continuum,'"
Unknown to the President, GADSS has already been fielded and awaits only his public approval of the project for the two conspirators to activate it! Cal goes to Stockholm where he learns from the professor that damage from the HAARP project is not only about to affect the ozone layer but also the geophysics of the Earth's core! The professor's group believes, and will state in their soon to be published Stockholm Supposition, that there is about to be a sudden shift in the position of the Earth's axis of rotation and that the man made damage to the physics of the core will cause the outer crust, and everything on, it including us, to shift nearly instantly causing massive physical destruction and huge Tsunami waves over the entire face of the Earth!
