About the Author

Born in London into a dysfunctional family,Ruth Cade forged her own way through the world, seeing and doing more than many of us dream of doing, yet always seeking something, something else. Vogue Cover Girl shortly after the war, she strolled the runways of Europe and the hearts of Barons and shipping tycoons. She studied art in Europe, learned film editing in England, learned construction and remodeling in New York, and after many illustrious careers, she settled in Bradenton where she help found an artist's colony, wrote her memoir, and celebrated her 85 Birthday surrounded by friends.
