This is the fourth annual publication of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for Teens. Thousands of entries in the categories of poetry, art, fiction and essay were read and reviewed, resulting in the publication in this anthology of forty pieces of literature and sixteen pictures or photographs of the art created. The quality of the various pieces is impressive; and is a solid testament to the idea that there are large numbers of young people capable of considering the world around them and writing about it or creating fantastic pieces of work from their interaction with it.
