About the Author

Dr. Dave Samuel has published over 500 articles and columns in 15-20 different outdoor magazines. He presently publishes 5-8 features per year in Bowhunter Magazine, and writes the Know Whitetails column in Whitetail Journal. He has trained roughly 2/3 of the major deer biologists in the United States. Bob Zaiglin is presently the lead instructor and department chair in the Wildlife Management Department at Southwest Texas Junior College.
