This picture book will help get the mind of a young reader ready to learn about Troy. The illustrations provided with the tales are lifelike caricatures of the heroes and villains one has come to know from Greek mythology. The stories of the building of Troy, the siege of Troy, the fall of Troy, and the Trojan hero, Aeneas, are found in this colorful picture book. At the bottom of each tale, the young reader will find a short factoid that accompanies the story. In the story about the wooden horse of Troy, for example, the version presented only has twelve men hidden inside the wooden horse while other versions have other numbers. Each adventure has an "Ask the storyteller" question with the answer provided. The questions for the storyteller are insightful and are appropriate for a young reader. A table of contents, introduction, glossary, a "who's who" with pronunciation key, and an index are included. Students and teachers will appreciate the friendly format of this book.
