Matthew 24 was intended to lead us to Isaiah 13. These two chapters are inexplicately linked. Without associating these two chapters, one is lost as to what Jesus was actually saying in His long discourse about end times and how they would play out.
Isaiah 13 compliments Jesus' words in Matthew 24 and explains the reasonings behind Jesus' words in Matthew 24. Never before has understanding end times been more important as we approach what Jesus called the end of the age and the one sign associated with it which we are supposed to understand.
