Torts
The Palgrave Macmillan Law Masters series is a long-running and successful list of titles offering clear, concise and authoritative guides to the main subject areas, written by experienced and respected authors.

The previous editions of Torts were highly regarded for their clarity of explanation and engaging writing style, and this new fourth edition fully retains each of these qualities. The text has been extensively revised and updated, and there is a new chapter on privacy. The enhanced layout includes end of chapter summaries and self-test exercises and an extensive bibliography. This is therefore an ideal companion to the subject for both law undergraduates and GDL/CPE students.

What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

Mullis and Oliphant's textbook deconstructs this notoriously difficult subject in a way that makes it readily comprehensible and, unlike other similarly accessible textbooks, it manages to do this without glossing over the many inconsistencies in the relevant case law. Tort textbooks tend to fall into two categories: the simple but basic and the advanced but dense. With this textbook, the reader has access to the best of both worlds.' – Dr Claire McIvor, Birmingham Law School, University of Birmingham

Review of previous edition: 'Just to say that I am very happy that a new edition is being considered and to add a plea to Palgrave not to change a thing about this excellent textbook. Perhaps this might have gone somewhere in the text above, but one of the key features of Mullis and Oliphant is its simple no-nonsense non-singing and dancing format. It is not riddled with 'pause for thoughts' or ghastly coloured boxes with 'key issues' in them or diagrams that attempt to reduce to the subject down. It is what it is, and that is a very well-written book by two incredibly knowledgeable and authoritative experts.' – Extract from (anonymous) peer reviews conducted in 2013
