Trigger

Trigger is the continuing story of Chris, experienced academic and freelance graphic designer with Epilepsy, trying to cater to his most challenging client yet, and confidently persist, even as he acquires new injuries, new triggers, and his unconventional, seizure treatment plan proves ineffective. It is the story of Hank, local church servant and friend, who agrees to join Chris in a different kind of activity in York, Pennsylvania. It is the continuing story of Mary Grace, of her uncomfortable, unwanted presence following the break-up. It is the story of Greta, of her unparalleled partnership, and whether or not Cris’s condition has a bearing on their outcome as a couple. It is a vivid reminder of thriving despite disappointment, the various forms of integration, the impact of disability on commitment, and the importance of seeking growth amidst the unknown.

About the Author

A GRADUATE of the Pennsylvania State University (M.Ed.), Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (B.A.), and the Art Institute of York-PA (B.S.), Joshua Holmes has studied the fine arts, design, and writing for over 20 years. He concentrates in the areas of graphic design, portraiture and wildlife, has been commissioned by numerous authors and collectors within the community, and has won several awards in various shows and fairs. He has authored ten novels – Memory Lapse, Grand Mal, Seizure, Status, Trigger, Design To Kill, Design For Justice, Shattered Lung, Design To Escape, and Design For Honor. He attributes his success to the Lord, and the strength God gives him in order to persist and grow as a more patient and thorough artist and writer. Despite a vision cut in both eyes from a failed brain surgery for Epilepsy, with the Lord's help, Josh continues to write, to see more and more detail, and hopes to improve with time. He encourages you to explore and exercise your creative side, and enjoy what the Lord can do through it.
