Bath time is fun time for this moon-faced toddler and his really big smile! From the moment he doffs his diaper through splashing in the tub, playing with the bubbles, tossing the rubber duckies, practicing swimming, and playing motorboat, time in the tub is one child-centric thrill after another! Of course, there's a focus on cleaning, too, and mother scrubs washes his sole hair and baby washes all around his belly button. Although there is a momentary "ow" when some soap gets in this child's eyes, it's dealt with quickly. The dirty diapered tot from the start becomes the sparkling clean tot at the end, one fun, playful activity at a time. This book is perfect for sharing with young children, both those who already love bath time and those who need some encouragement to recognize its potential. Several sound effects and wiggles later, the youngster gives the potty a shot with eventual success and accolades. In Tubby, muddy footprints and an obviously dirty child let readers know that it is bath time. The excited youngster has a grand time playing with bubbles and toys.
