Tuscany: Wandering the Back Roads, Volume I
This is the first of two volumes of photographs taken by husband and wife photographers Chamlee and Michael A. Smith during three trips to Tuscany from 1999-2001. Beginning with a preface/trip log by the two photographers, and an essay by Robert A. Sobieszer (photography curator, Los Angeles County Museum of Art), this oversize (11.75x10") first volume displays Chamblee's serene and beautifully composed pastoral landscapes, as well as a few of her cityscapes and interiors. The reproductions are made from 8x10, 5x7, and 4x5-inch gelatin silver chloride contact prints, and are printed in 600-line screen quadtone. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
