About the Author

Ellen Hickman is a consultant botanist and an artist. She is a former employee of the University of Western Australia and an exhibitor at the biennial Art of Botanical Illustration at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. She is the recipient of a Henry Allen Gleason Award, a contributor to A Brush with Gondwana, and the author of Hooray for Chester. John Ryan is a doctoral candidate at Edith Cowan University. His poetry has been published in Bukker Tillibul journal, dotdotdash magazine, Landscapes journal, and Yellow Field journal.
