This book is about a group of teens that had always knew they were special. Their parents have raised them with talents and skills other teens do not possess. With old enemies of their parents on the hunt for the hunters that once plagued them. Danger arises to where the children of the Underground have to step up and take the place of their parents in the fight for the night. Other groups of the Underground were attacked and destroyed and the few that did survive make their way to join the last group of the Underground left. New allies are made and new discoveries come forth for the now growing group and the night is not the only problems out there. A new power is emerging as the veil weakens with an unwitting accomplice that helps the new danger even more real.
