About the Author

Steve New is a Lecturer in the Saïd Business School, Oxford University, and a Fellow of Hertford College. He was previously a lecturer at the Manchester School of Management, UMIST. He has won the Fellowship of the Operations Management Association (UK) 1993-4 for work in Purchasing and Supply. Roy Westbrook is a Lecturer in the Saïd Business School, Oxford University, and a Fellow of St Hugh's College. He spent nine years in the Civil Service before becoming a specialist research officer and consultant, and later working at the London School of Economics. He has published widely and acts as a consultant to major corporations.
