Vampiric Retirement The Vampire War Commences

Vampires exist amongst the human population. They have not existed for three hundred years as depicted in stories and legends. They have lived secretly amongst humanity, constantly feeding off them, using them as a food source for thousands of years.
They are not an anomaly born of Vlad the Impaler, nor are they the progeny of Count Dracula, but an alternative creation brought into existence by nature as mankind also flourished. They filled a gap in the development of intelligent life on the planet, a divergent pathway from the evolution of mankind.
They cannot change humans to vampire by their bite that is a fallacy created by the minds of writers attempting to describe a story. They progress their nation by breeding much as their food source breeds, using those rare genetically matched few that are suitable as hosts.
The older they become the more powerful they are. The elders, the six original surviving creatures have roamed the world for eons untold, and as such are near perfect in their abilities, and evil beyond contemplation in their desires.
Sunlight is no barrier to the older vampires; it has little effect and does not kill them. The cross of God means nothing to them as most consider themselves almost Gods in their own right. Silver does kill them turning their bodies to burnt cinder; the story tellers got that right.
Why this story exists: In the seventeen hundreds, four of twenty new vampires fought against their natural tendency. As they aged and developed passing through the centuries growing stronger they learned and developed both in abilities and disgust at how their race had degenerated. They rebelled and so were born the first aid to mankind, creatures from a dark past brought into the light. The age of the vampiric protector was born.
Death followed until of the four there was only one. He decreed that the race as it was should end, but that entailed the destruction of the Elders, that the progenitors of the race, the oldest of them all should be consigned to history.
They decreed that he should join his rebellious comrades and so the battle for the lives and souls of all commenced. The hunts were instigated. The end of the human rule was instigated as the war between races moved forward from the shadows, into the light.

About the Author

David Stevens Dear readers. Updated Information. Dear readers. As you may know I have posted currently 6 E books for Free on smashwords, these books get repeated 5* reviews for the tale being told, but they also attract some minor comments on the editing and I would like you to understand why. I am severely dyslexic, by that I mean I have major problems with some specific spellings, for instance off & of. I also have problems with (‘) these evil things. Though clearly this does not detract from the tale being told it is annoying to some readers, for which I apologise. I also cannot type these days so have to use an auto typer, which in this case is a Dragon 12 system, this I find quite funny as I also write dragon tales for the dragonologist site. (See my twitter feed details below for link) All of my books are again being reviewed by Theresa Snyder for any such editorial problems, OUT NOW Re edited and out now :- Foundation of A Kings Legend. Fantasy Fiction :- Vampiric Retirement Book 1 It is my intent to publish each of 10 books in paperback once they are fully completed and as good as I can get them, having first updated the copies on smashwords, the E- books will remain free to anyone who cares to take a copy, just select it, then price it at $0.00 and down load with my blessing. Direct access to all books and much more at the Mysterious David Stevens site, and all free. At: http://tinyurl.com/ov9e5lu Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful, safe day, David Stevens. Hello and welcome. Write a biog they say! Now there is a challenge. Stories books even articles are easy to do as they are held at a distance, admittedly short but still distant. A ‘biog,’ that is another thing altogether. Why anyone would want to read about the writer I can’t envisage, writers lives are really rather boring, it is the tales they tell that have such wonderful abilities. I am often told that fateful sentence, ‘I could be a writer’ or ‘I would like to write a book’. To these people I always say do it, write it, it does not matter whether it is a good book or a bad one, because it is your book, well it is until you contact a publisher, then that all changes. At roughly fourteen years of age I was carted off to Bangor for an excruciating length of in-depth testing, where they discovered that I was severely dyslexic and reasonably intelligent. The first was new to me, the latter something I had naturally known, but it did explain why I could not write. Then along came the computer and thanks to a good friend I acquired one, and that was the start of a long long road. Just to put things in place, let me point out that the computer in question was made by Amstrad and it had no, yes I said no, hard drive. In fact it used five and a quarter floppy disks and had the processing power of about 56 K. Now that sounds shocking these days but consider that 56K was about what N.A.S.A had when they put a man on the moon. Back to a biog. To my readers I would like to say that I hope you enjoy my work, because for me to say anything else would be a lie, as is clearly shown by the fact that I place my work out there amongst you, obviously I want it to be read, but more importantly to be entertaining for you the reader. The more you write the more you open yourself up for criticism, but also the more you learn and the better your writing becomes. Writers call this learning the ‘craft’ or developing it. In my case as with most, the more I developed the craft the better the stories construction became, so old stories are never as well constructed as new stories but the editing process improves with practice, that is one of the drawbacks to posting on the net, you are always stuck with the old stories. Those older stories will have a greater number of problems than the newer ones but it is not the style that matters but the content and of course the improvement. For those of you that just need to know more about your pet authors, consider that writing at any level is a serious commitment in both time and lifestyle. Books take a long time to develop; they are mostly created in the loneliness of an office or a chair. Sometimes, if you are very lucky they grow by a fire-side with a nice coffee and perhaps biscuits. You know, the nice oat ones or perhaps rich chocolate, but I digress. More often than not they are written in the dark wee hours of the night and have little input from others during their actual writing. Therefore a writer must be able to be alone with them self and their characters and be dedicated to whatever tale they are creating at the time. Or as a friend of mine so succinctly put it ‘you need to be a touch mad.’ As I said quite boring in reality, so instead may I suggest that you acquire a good book and enter into the world the writer has created for you, and hopefully enjoy it. All the best David Stevens.
