Much more than the mere compilation its title might suggest, this also provides a history of publishing on gardens, but it would have been helpful to cite the original articles rather than bury the information in the bibliography; readers would have also benefited from knowing which photographs were originally published, which are from the magazine's archives, and which are new to the book. Recommended for large gardening collections.
