About the Author

GEORGE BILGERE'S recent books include Haywire (winner of the May Swenson Poetry Award in 2006) and The Good Kiss, selected by former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins as the winner of the 2001 University of Akron Poetry Prize. Bilgere has received grants, fellowships, and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fulbright Foundation, the Society of Midland Authors, the Ohio Arts Council and the Witter Bynner Foundation. In 2009 he won a Pushcart Prize. Bilgere teaches at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.
