An old, very powerful and respected druid said Adalyn was special. She’d always known that she was different from the others. Her future was clearly intertwined with the future all of her pack members. She represents life, hope and security for their entire pack. But, being the pack saviour if you will, didn’t mean that other werewolves would like you more or for that matter like you at all. Instead of being loved by most, she was hated by all. Disrespected, disliked and dejected. Lots of times, they laughed and continued to call her "special" as if it was a bad, dirty word. Only her Alpha and the older members of their pack treated her kindly at all.
Adalyn would have been happier without the prophesy if not for the part that said she would find her promised mate then come into her abilities and heal her pack. She loved the idea that she alone would find her promised, but, what made her and her wolf different? What if Adalyn was unable to find him or if worse what if he rejected her.
