In the sunless seaside town of Timbre, 13-year-old Jonathan learns that his real father is a werewolf. Worse, he's a stranger. Now "Jonny" must figure out how to break an ancient family curse that should have killed his father on the day he was born. Along the way, he falls in love with a young witch who turns out to be the cousin of a cousin he didn't even know he had. Awkward! All three kids must work together to outsmart the powerful faerie king Morgan, the mysterious immortal monster called Nocmedden, a vampire assassin, and a secret society of wicked old wolves. Plato Kasserman lives with his family in a north coast California town where it often seems as though the sun will never shine. His childhood dream was to grow up to be a cartoonist, but he settled into writing instead after realizing that he was better at making pictures with words. Wolves of Timbre: The Karasu Curse is his first completed novel. Including Morgan and Nimbus, this book contains the names of thirteen cats he has known. His gray cat Jack is the only one of them who can really open doors by turning the knob.
