In 1983 author Wesley Gurion was invited to spend several days on the set of a major adult film shoot. It was a one-time experience that afforded a glimpse into a world rarely seen. His contact was “Enid,” an extraordinary young woman who had been his friend and who had drifted into the world of pornography, where she had become, under an assumed name, a star. This Wesley Gurion short, “X-Rated” describes the experience of those sordid but compelling days of filming, as well as recalls in detail the unforgettable Enid herself. Off set was “X” legend, John Holmes, while onset were such stars as Ron Jeremy and Tom Byron. Wesley Gurion was born in Hollywood, California in 1955. He has lived, worked and written in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Miami, and London. He is the author of numerous books, novels, and “shorts,” pieces on a wide variety of topics. To each of these he brings his own original style and outlook. Currently he is back in Hollywood, writing his weekly series of “Hollywood Shorts,” soon to be available on Nook.
