You Jakeleg! is a collection of true stories set in Northwest Louisiana that chronicle the relationship between the author and his father, Pop. The stories expose how Pop's unintentional goofs and blunders create everlasting memories for the author and his siblings. The author also takes the time to tell stories in which he and his brothers found themselves in situations that can only be explained through DNA. You Jakeleg! ends with the author's cathartic experience as he comes to terms with his father's premature death. Readers will find themselves both laughing out loud and sobbing uncontrollably.
