It's been three months since Alexis helplessly witnessed Lydia Small's violent death, and all she wants is for her life to return to normal. But normal people don't see decaying bodies haunting photographs. Normal people don't have to deal with regular intrusions from Lydia's angry ghost, sometimes escalating to terrifying attacks. At first, it seems that Lydia wants revenge on Alexis alone. But a girl from school disappears one night, and Alexis spots one of Lydia's signature yellow roses lying on the girl's dresser the next day. Soon, it becomes clear that several of Alexis's friends are in danger, and that she's the only person who can save them. But as she tries to intervene, Alexis realizes that her enemy is a much more powerful ghost than she's ever faced before... and that its fate is tied to hers in ways she couldn't possibly imagine. Not even in her worst nightmares.

    VOYA - Stacey Hayman
Two and a half months after Lydia's funeral, sixteen-year-old Alexis feels more lost and alone than ever. Being kept at a distance by the kids at school is painful, and having Carter break up with her hurts more, but maybe worst of all is being afraid to look through the viewfinder of her beloved camera. Now Alexis cannot look at a photograph without seeing ghostly images of the dead and how they died. When Jared, a cute boy she met during a photo contest in September, begins to show interest, Alexis is hesitant but hopeful: but nothing is that easy for Alexis. When girls start to disappear, all connected in some way to her new relationship, Alexis realizes there is a new spirit in town, and it is angry. Delivering even more fabulously unforgettable, spine-tingling moments, this third entry in the Bad Girls Don't Die series upholds the high standards of superbly crafted storytelling set twice before. Just when it seems the characters might be falling into a caricature trap, they break free and become real again. The complex supernatural details and developing personal relationships are nicely balanced to keep readers turning the pages with anticipation. In the tradition of all excellent scary movies, fans might just find themselves repeatedly shouting, "Don't do it!" in hopes of warning Alexis, but lucky for the reader, she never seems to hear. This is not a choice for the faint of heart or for those who object to stories centered around witchcraft or the occult. Reviewer: Stacey Hayman
    Children's Literature - Toni Jourdan
The third book in the "Bad Girls Don't Die" series, we catch up with sixteen year old Alexis Warren who is struggling to forget all the damage that has followed her through her teen years. She has broken up with her boyfriend, Carter, her friends have abandoned her since the incident drenched in the occult and she is trying to get over witnessing the death of fellow student, Lydia Small. Three months later she is back at school trying to get her life back to normal, whatever that means. Only she has found that when she tries to resume her passion for photography, she now has some glitches in her photos. Glitches, as in dead people. She sees them everywhere but none are as persistent as Lydia who seems at first to be behind the disappearances of local girls. Alexis meets Jared, a fellow photographer, and they begin a relatively "normal" relationship, except it seems that there is some connection to Jared, Alexis and the girls that are meeting untimely ends. Then there is this ghost in a purple dress and the yellow roses that seem linked to the missing girls and now to Alexis. Add in Alexis' stint in the psych ward at Harmony Valley and her new friendship with ghostly Lydia. How can Alexis take any good yearbook shots when her classmates think she is a murderer? What does it all mean and will Alexis fall under the spell of this mysterious female energy form? Quite the page turner for those who enjoy a good ghost story with many twists and turns that make you think you've figured out what's happening to the girls, but you probably haven't. Even if you haven't read the first two books in the series, this book will draw you in with its supernatural powers. Reviewer: Toni Jourdan
